Cilbir Turkish Poached Eggs with JOBBIE Peanut Butter Yogurt

Cilbir is a traditional Turkish breakfast consists of poached eggs served over a bed of yogurt. This dish, once served to Ottoman’s sultans dated back in the 15th century, has become a staple for many Turkish households in the modern days. Now people all around can enjoy them too.
For this recipe, a twist will be added to the classic flavour by incorporating JOBBIE Creamy Classic Peanut Butter into the Greek yogurt to add a nutty spin to the dish!
INGREDIENTS
Paprika Infused Butter
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tablespoon of paprika
Peanut Yogurt
- 1/2 cup of Greek Yogurt
- 2-3 tbsp of JOBBIE Creamy Classic Peanut Butter
Poached Eggs
- 3 eggs
- 500ml water
- 1 tbsp vinegar
Garnish
- Chopped parsley
PREPARATION
Paprika Infused Butter
- Melt butter on a medium to low heat pan.
- Add in the paprika and stir until fragrant.
- Set aside to cool.
Peanut Yogurt
- Whisk or blend JOBBIE Creamy Classic Peanut Butter with Greek yogurt until it’s smooth.
Poached Eggs
- In a pot, add water and vinegar.
- Bring water to a boiling point, and lower it to medium low heat.
- Stir the water with a spoon at a fast pace to create a vortex, and pour the egg in.
- Let it cook for 2 mins and set aside.
To Assemble
- Pour the peanut yogurt onto a plate.
- Place the Poached eggs over the bed of yogurt.
- Drizzle liberal amount of paprika infused butter on top of the eggs and yogurt.
- Garnish with Parsley.
- Serve with toast, pita or croissants.
